Knowing your Office Listings

Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker

If someone asked you in the Grocery Store about a listing that an Agent in your Office has, could you tell them anything about it?  I have been asked about a certain listing and I did not have a  clue what they were talking about.  I felt so bad.  I just wonder what that person thought about me.

Has this ever happened to you and how did  you prevent it from happening again.

It is very hard to keep up with all the listings coming in the office.

Thank you,

Jeanette Hemmer, Re/Max Plus Realty, Clarksville,Ar

We have a tour at our office every Tuesday, however that doesn't expose us to all of the listings that our office has.

I always get there number and let them know I will call them as soon as I get back to the office. It never fails they give and I call them.

It is easier to print out a list, and look at the slideshow and see it.  If someone expects you to remember every house, they are not realistic.

Tell them about the ones you know because getting their interest is important and most people do not even buy the first house they looked at.  That is just a starting point, right?

No one can checkmate you without your permission.

Hi Jeanette ~ I preview new listings on our office tour and at broker open houses - four days a week just previewing - but I still can't always remember even the houses I've seen if somebody just gives me an address. My head only holds so much!  I like Charles' suggestion to get their number.

Touring new listings and reviewing weekly should give you a clue.  No way you could remember everything about a listing.  Thank goodness for Smartphones which enable downloads of mls info.
