North Royalton Ohio School Levy Passes!

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Trinity Brecksville Ohio

Good news for North Royalton Ohio schools! On Tuesday voters approved a 6.2 mill, 10 year emergency operating levy, after a 4.9 mill levy failed in March of 2008. After the failure of that levy, there were many cuts. Among them were:

no public and private high school busing
$100 pay to play fee for spring ports
high school and middle school closings at 6:00p.m. and elementary school closings at 4:00p.m
eliminating several extracurricular activities
letting go of some employees.

It's unknown whether the buses will be reinstated or whether there will still be a pay to play for sports, but the passage of this levy was certainly the desired outcome for many North Royalton residents and students.

Barb, that's good to hear. All of the area schools are taking a hit and it is nice that the residents of North Royalton think enough of their school district and community to pass this levy.
