The homeowners of this Victorian blew out every wall on the main floor to create "great room" feeling. By having multiple groupings of furniture, we were able to show prospective buyers how they could have a small space, but entertain in multiple areas. They had a few contemporary pieces of furniture that were very worn and out of style. We had to use a few pieces of the homeowners furniture.
I'll bet that was quite a project with a very dramatic result. Thanks for your post.
It cetainly has a different look, style and feel about it now...much improved!
I really like the idea of multiple furniture groupings. You were able to make it look light and bright and you pulled it off with great design!!!
Todd, I have one of these coming up. I love what you did with the contrmporary twist. A great inspiration.
I left this comment: I love Victorian houses, and just in the way you have done it! True Victorian was so much classier than what it has come to in current versions, and you captured "classy", even with pieces you were hesitant to use..
on the wrong post! Somehow scrolled one too far to leave the post, so I deleted and reposted.
Looks great, Todd. Love the large artwork you chose. It's always a challenge to use some of the homeowners items and some of our staging items. I think you blended things very well!
