I have always heard that the weather in Georgia was unpredictable, and to a certain extend, I always agreed. The way it has been lately? now, that is what you call UNPREDICTABLE. I've been a resident of this great city since 1988 and as far as I can remember, it always started getting hot from about mid-March and stayed that way until almost Halloween.
This year, and as of today, our temperatures have been soooo incredibly nice, cool nights and mornings and even during the day at times. Rain? boy have we have rain, Storms? more than we would like to see. Last year, I remember there were prayer vigils during the entire summer, large groups of people and entire church communities asking our Almighty God to end the drought, well I think HE, the Big Guy, surely got the message and HE said in 2009, "your wish is MY command, you wanted rain, a lot of it? you got rain".
So, let's be thankful that we can now water our lawns(do we really need to?), we can actually save a few dollars on water bill from irrigation systems, we can wash our cars, we might be able to even have a Slip and Splash summer party in our backyards. Now don't hold me accountable for these suggestion, to be on the safe side contact your local government, than you will be sure it's Ok. Click here to verify...
For those of you that reside in other parts of the country, and have been blessed with heaven's showers, enjoy the weather, and before you wash your own car, please, make sure that water bans have been lifted.
For now, I will continue to sell Real Estate in The Atl. If you need any information on the local market, feel free to contact me.
Until the next time, stay cool this SUMMER!
