The Overindulgence Diet

Candy BarsWe have the Atkins, Grapefruit, Pritikin, and Scarsdale diets. How about

     The Overindulgence Diet?

I'm not talking about wolfing town a bunch of candy bars but what a way to go : ) I'm talking putting more good things in your life and excessively showing them to the world. How about

Love, Kindness, Justice, Mercy, Forgiveness, Faith, Peace, Music, Caring about others.. ? You have heard everything in moderation but the forementioned list I would think everyone would like MORE of these things.

What would you put on The Overindulgence Diet? If I write a book on this I'll be sure and include it.

With all the other good things mentioned, If I were have an overindulgence diet, it would have to include seeing as much of the beauty of the world as possible. And it would be a good reminder for your readers that my view is  " too much of a good thing is......wonderful!"

Gary,

If you publish this diet, you may have a best seller on your hands, especially if you include the Sneakers as the basis of it.  lol

ToulaRosebrock,comHi Gary:

You definitely have the ingredients for this diet.

I'm with Mary, to add patience to the list.  I like Shirley's suggestion of empathy too...

My contribution however would be "acceptance".

Gary-Great list of the right kind of indulgences. I would add to that laughter, smiles, fun, living for today, understanding, happiness, dancing, compassion, flowers, and anything of true beauty, and as Toula said acceptance.

These are indulgences that when overdone are not good and we need to either have in moderation or abstain if not able to have in moderation. Alcohol, Sugar, salt, white flour, processed food, breadsticks, etc.

Great post, Have a super Sunday

Gary,

As it has alread been said this is a great list of things to overindulge in.  What about adding politeness/respect and grace to the list?

I'm way too irreverent to answer this, and I'm sure you already know I would overindulge in a long, tall Cowboy or four.

I will settle for the Snickers bar!  But if you need some additions to your list, I would add acceptance which has helped me get over many hurtles!  I can not wait for the book!

Love and caring should never be done in moderation!  You should always indulge in things that make others feel happy to be near you.  xxoo
