Having spent my whole life involved in music both as a music educator and musician, one of the most wonderful things next to the natural beauty of the Lakes Region of New Hampshire is the incredible musical experiences one can have when visiting or living here, and it isn't just in the summer months though that is when the many of the outside tent and pavilion concerts are held.

The four season beauty of the Lakes Region of New Hampshire is unsurpassed anywhere. Summer brings hiking, boating, swimming, antiquing, and concerts, such as Meadowbrook in Gilford, The Great Waters Music Festival, and Heifetz International Music Institute both in Wolfeboro and Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownsfield, Maine less then an hour away this is just the beginning of what will fill your activities list. Click on any of the links above to see the amazing music acts coming in this year. I have purchased my tickets to see Diana Krall,  The Barra MacNeils, and the Punch Brothers.

There's also a tremendous amount of free music in the area, with band concerts in Wolfeboro, Moutonborough, Gilford, Alton and Center Harbor. The Fourth of July Parades around Lake Winnipesaukee and Squam Lake have to be some of the finest anywhere in the United States with bands, floats, and politicians galore!
