Hi Susan, I couldn't comment on HOMEdigz because I'm not home and couldn't remember my registration information.  Anyway it appears to me that these rooms first need a professional organizer.  Eliminating much of the excess, unnecessary and unneeded would be a giant first step. Plus adding some storage is clearly necessary.  A build in storage space (larger closet) would certainly help.  Something like a pantry but for office and misc. supplies.

Just to clarify, is this a redesign or a staging inquiry?

Hi Ginger, Can you post that on HOMEdigz?  (Just write your password on your arm for future reference...ha ha ha).

Susan - this is a redesign project. The rest of the house is great, but this one room is not very functional (or pretty) and needs help!  Hope you have some ideas to share!

Susan I went back and made it work on HOMEdigz.  Only problem now it that in looking back at the photos the blue paint really isn't as dark as I'd remembered it...goes to show how short the memory can be.  Hope my post is helpful.

Thanks Ginger...your advice was spot on girl! Funny...I wish my laundry room was that big (I have a laundry closet).  And I don't think the blue was working, at any shade!

I'd paint the cupboards white leaving the island natural. The island would then look like a piece of furniture. Update the counters maybe with an overhang for stools. It seems to have a country feel so you could use bead board as the back splash and part way up the laundry room walls. It would tie the units together. Right now the spaces don't flow. Since the cabinets would be painted you could easily add more storage in the laundry room.
