Portland Development Meeting -- City Center Renewal

If you've got some time on your calendar Monday morning, May 18, 9:00 a.m., please consider attending the conference put on by PDC (Portland Development Committee).

I love living in Portland, Oregon.  One of the reasons is the planners are really "planning ahead," as a lot of the regional governments (city, Metro, etc.) have done.  And, apparently, are continuing (to do -- if I added "to do" at the end of this sentence, is this proper grammar??)

Hi Carla - Wish I could be there, because I've been trying to find out how the Mortgage Credit Certificate program has been doing since they rolled it out last year.

Hi Karen -- I didn't know they had a Mortgage Credit Certificate program . . . through PDC?  I would love to see what they are planning too.  Downtown has really gotten some great improvements recently with the street cars (trolley line), etc.

Hi Carla - They rolled out a pilot program through a very limited resource list (agents, lenders). I'm playing phone tag with Javier at PDC to find out how they are doing with the MCC program since it has been about a year now. I'll come back and let you know when I catch up with him.

Hi Carla - I caught up with Javier Mena of PDC who said they've issued 25 MCCs since they rolled the program out in March 2008. They want to increase the volume, so they opened the program up to additional lenders than the handful they were workign woth originally. They expect to deplete this round of funding around the end of the year, but should go right back in for more. Definitely worth checking out  for your clients:
