Abbotsford Heat - The new AHL team in Fraser Valley.
The American Hockey League team that will be based in the new Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre now has a name. The name of the new team coming to Abbotsford will be the Abbotsford Heat. Initially, four names were chosen as potential winners Out of more than 2,500 suggestions - Abbotsford Heat, Abbotsford Flames, Abbotsford Ice Hawks and Abbotsford Storm.
The team does not have a jersey with he team logo ready yet but we know its going to be red like the Calgary flames. The Abbotsford Heat will be the top development affiliate of the Calgary Flames.
Season tickets for Abbotsford Heat games will go on sale by the end of this month. You can pre-register for season tickets before they go on sale to the general public by visiting www.fraservalleyahl.com
Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre just recently opened its doors to the public.
