Waukesha County Real Estate: Downtown Pewaukee on the Lake

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker

In the Waukesha County Real Estatemarket there are many charming communities. One such community is Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Whether it be Waukesha County Lake homes, Pewaukee Lake homes or any Pewaukee Real Estate this is one beautiful area. It was just awhile ago that a very large project was done and resulted in an amazing new avenue of buildings across the street of Pewaukee Lake. The result are wonderful shops, restaurants, vendors, professional offices, and more that make Pewaukee a must to visit. Please see: Pewaukee, Wisconsin or Pewaukee Area History | Pewaukee Area Events | Pewaukee Area ...

Tom and Lars:  I love old areas like this.... Their history intrigues me. It's so important to remember how a town WAS before it became what it IS.

Pewaukee, boy does that bring back memories. IIRC, it's not too far outside of Minnesota. And there I was, standing on the freeway with my thumb out in the middle of winter when a kind soul picked me up and my two friends. Took us to his home, fed us dinner and gave us a warm place to sleep for the night. Then it was back to I-94 in the morning to hitchhike the rest of the way to DC for the March on Washington in 1969. The people of Pewaukee are wonderful in my book.

Hi Tom,

There is something about old photographs that I find intriguing: the way people dressed, the way they related to one another.  It was a different world back then...
