$125,000,000 Property For Sale - 766 days on the market and counting

Real Estate Agent with Bennion Deville Homes CalBRE# 01339266

Fleur De Lys - "The Finest Estate in America. Available by appointment to pre-qualified clients only. The property has 12 bedrooms, 15 baths, guest house on a 5.01 acres." Situated at 350 N Carolwood Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90077 - Bellair.

That's all the information provided on the CLAW MLS for this extraordinary property that is co-listed by Hilton & Hyland & Coldwell Banker.

I do not have clients looking for such a property, but I was neverthless curious to watch the progress of this mind-boggling listing. As of May 17th 2009 it's has been listed for 766 days and according to it's listing hostiry, there's been no change in the List Price, and it hasn't been in escrow.

At $125,000,000 it sounds "reasonable" compared to Candy Spellings house which has a price tage of $150,000,000.

Darn!  If only it had 13 bedrooms, I might be able to make it work.  :)

Hi Stewart... Wow!  What a property!  I looked at this post and all I kept thinking was "I wonder if the draperies and dining room chandelier are excluded from the sale?"  LOL.

Jason - If you need additional bedrooms, we could always look at the Spelling mansion:)

Steve - As an astute negotiator, I'm confident I could have them included in the sale if you wrote a good offer!

Over 2,000 homes sold…..

As my 5th grade teacher tried to tell me, it makes a big difference where you put that decimal point.

Dallas always thinks too big! I'd go for the one in LA if I had the choice. But the house-keeping bill might break me.

Stewart, surely they must be advertising elsewhere with this tremendous mansion. Looks like a great house to go roller blading!

It is amazing to think of the lifestyles of the uber rich.  Yet as we all know, they have their financial troubles just like the rest of us.  It's all relative.

A commission on a property like that, and I might be able to take a few years off!

Im with Jason, for 125M I would expect more than 12 Bedrooms.  I've seen the inside of the Spelling Mansion (On TV), that is an inpressive house as well.  I like that Dallas listing as well, but 100 acres would take me way to long to mow.

I'm still looking for a buyer for the Spelling House.  Hopefully I can call you one day to refer a buyer to you.

I wonder what would happen if that house ever went into foreclosure?  It's obvious that they aren't super motivated to sell, so hopefully that's not an issue.

YUCK! I would get bored real fast with this structure, just as I have with all of the other supposed great things that money can buy in life. Sometimes simplicity is the key to happiness, in the end.
