Why Staging a Vacant Home is Critical

By

# 2 Without Furniture, There Is No Frame Of Reference

How big is the room?  Without furniture it's incredibly difficult to tell the scale and size of a room.  When the buyer doesn't have answers to their questions-they walk away.

What is this room for?  Many times a buyer can't even tell if it's the living room or dining room in an unfurnished home.  Don't keep them guessing, because it only distracts them from considering the home as a purchase.

Buyers don't want to be bothered with guess work, so don't make them do so.  Utilize a Professional Home Stager and take the guesswork out of the picture.

Paige, we couldn't agree more about staging a vacant home. We have had tremendous success selling vacant homes and staging was the key to the sale. Most buyers say they have vision but really don't so, as you suggested, we need to take the guesswork out. Thanks for the post.

Thanks Paige,  It's been very difficult to get some sellers to go for staging, but those that understand sell quicker and for more.

You are right...most buyers in our experience can't imagine if the seller changed the paint color, removed the wallpaper, took out the carpet...how much space does the couch/bed/table take ? No clue...staging is an asset tooo many realtors overlook !
