Now that you have a website what are you going to do with it? Did you get the website to just to say that you have a website or do you want the website to be another stream of income?
Well now that you have a website consumers must know that you are out there. First you must submit your website to relevant directories. When I say relevant I mean as a real estate professional I would not submit my site to a directory that deals with sewing. I would submit my site into a real estate directory. A few of them are www.realestateabc.com, abcrealestatedirectory.com. You also want to be submitted into www.dmoz.com and http://dir.yahoo.com which is yahoos directory. The yahoo directory is $299 a year, and dmoz.com is a free, but very difficult to get into. I have been trying for over a year, but it is probably the most important. Your first step should be to get into some directories, and promote your website on everything including your voicemail message, all print advertising, and business cards. Tell everyone and anyone about your website. Remember content is king so if you specialize in waterfront property you must have interesting information maybe about seawalls or docks. Maybe even what time the bridges go up. Dare to be different and be specific. Target one group or area not the whole state of Florida. I have said this before, but it is true "If you try to speak to everyone you speak to noone. Good luck.
