Moral Compass turns to ..........

I am outside a home that I just showed my client, working on writing up an offer for them.  I see a cat walking around and comment to them that, "better close my door so I don't take a stow away"  We finish up the offer and they sign it, I get in my car when I notice they missed a signature.  I open my door and run back to them trying to catch them before they leave.  Get the signature and get back in the car, head down the street to go home.   I drive a couple blocks and am leaving the subdivision when out of my rearview mirror I see something JUMP from the back of my car (thank goodness I was driving an SUV so it was way back) it was the CAT.  I scream, it continues up by me, I scream and pull over quickly while I am processing in my head that is is just a cat and not some other animal.  The cat comes and stands right by me happy as can be.  So here comes the question, open my door and kick the animal out?  Or drive all the way back to the neighborhood and get it in the right vicinity.  Hmmmm........ wanna kick it out...................... the thing scared me to death.........................kick it out???

I didn't kick it out, I drove back to the neighborhood where a family was out front, I rolled down my window and asked if they knew whose cat it was.  The guy started laughing and claimed him, but then informed me I was welcome to keep him, I don't think so.  So I made the morally right choice, but next time, the animal might not be so lucky.

Heather, you don't sound like a cat person to me. :-)

Not all cats will get in a car so willingly. But if they do, just drive it back to where it got in.

Actually I love cats, being scared to death is another thing.
