Choochie The Evil Cat!

Choochie

This is Choochie. She is my 17 year old Himilayan Blue Cream Point Cat. She's not really evil. She's just not very photogenic. This bothers Choochie because she knows how beautiful she is. She would really like to have a better picture of herself and she wouldn't be very happy if she knew that I was posting this 'bad' picture of her on AR for everyone to see. I don't care if its not her best picture, I just want you all to see my beloved.

Choochie has several names. Her birth name is Tabitha. But that has morphed into 'Girlie' 'Shabersha' Chooch-a-monga' 'Moochkey' 'Schkuu girl'  and many more but I can't remember them all. Besides I sound ridiculous enough already.

Choochie is the Ruler of the house. One of her loyal servants is 'Rudy' the neurotic and nervous Labrador Retriever. He is afraid of Choochie. She is the boss! When Choochie wants to drink out of the 'family' bowl. Rudy the loyal serf has to wait his turn. Rudy The loyal serf

When Choochie isn't lounging on her Royal Throne (My bed) She is hanging with the girls. She thinks that she is the prettiest of them all.

We love Choochie and of course we let her go shopping for new outfits once in a while. This is one of her designer dresses that she calls 'Cowboy Chic'

When Choochie has had a long day of shopping. She likes to go recline on her 'Throne'. This is her most favorite position. She has asked me if I think she should submit this photo to "Playkitten" since she thinks it is most sensual.

All kidding aside, Tabitha has been a wonderful pet. As the years have passed she has seen the birth of both of our children. The addition of our dog Rudy and a Guinea Pig name Beauty Cutie. She has moved with us 4 times and never complained. She even went for a holiday at Grandma's when we went to Cuba. Since she has grown up we let her stay on her own. But we have 'family' come so that she can keep them company.

She loves my husband Vince the most. It's most likely since she knows that he was never really a 'cat person' and she likes the fact that he doesn't bother her too much. (I maul her too much, only because I love her so much) Vince has since been converted to a cat person. If it is only our cat.

Tabitha has slowed down in the past months and she has become thinner. She is in the 'twilight' years of her life.  Don't tell her that though, she doesn't know it.

If you are looking for a loving and good natured beauty. Look for a Himilayan. There are many varieties. Tabitha is a Blue-Cream Point but there are Flame Points, Blue Points, Chocolate Points and other types. If you noticed a similarity to a Siamese then you are right. The Persian was mixed with a Siamese to get this fantastic and Regal Breed.

Choochie sends her love!

Thanks for introducing us to Choochie. Of course, I like the part of all the names you have for her. We're kinda the same with our cat, Pumpkin. She is orange after all! We call her: Pumpkin, Boo, Budda-Boo, Budda-Budda-Boo, Budda-Budda-Budda Boo, and so on (I think you get the idea). Happy Memorial Day. Mike C

Funny!  My dog's eyes photograph in a vivid royal blue.  His fur is charcoal gray so the blue actually always looks pretty coordinated.  :)

Great post Kathy.  I currently have 5 cats and one dog.  A reverse from several years ago when I had 5 dogs and one cat.  I couldn't live without my critters, who by the way, help me prepare for a staging by making sure they climb into every container and check to make sure everything I need is there!

She's a beauty!

I had a Blue Point Siamese in Montreal. He was gorgeous. I lived in an industrial loft and one morning just after the security unlocked the main doors, someone dropped him off. The secretary of the building showed me him, and despite my allergies I could not leave him homeless.

Poor guy, turned out he had mites in his ears, which I took care of right away...yuck!...mites everywhere when he shook his head!

He was loved by everyone in the building. I'd leave my loft door open so he could stroll in or out. I'd always have to go looking for him only to discover he'd made himself at home in a new studio...seems he didn't want to make a nuisance of himself, so I never found him in the same space twice!

He loved to jump on me at night, or alternate and creep up to my face as I slept. Because of my allergies, I knew I couldn't have him for too long. It took me a few months to find someone to adopt him that I knew would love him they way he deserved.

We always had siamese growing up! My favorites were Tortie -- A tortie point and Jinx - a Seal Point.

Tortie was my loving friend, Jinx was people shy and spent most of her time in the basement on the dryer - she would scat when anyone came down and would occasionally stay there to be pet!

Ah, the love of a good Siamese! Thanks for the post!

Dane We also used to have a Siamese when I was growing up. He was so full of character. He used to 'talk' all the time. I think Siamese are really a one family type of cat. At least the ones I know. They sure get a bad rap though, most people don't like them. It's nice that you took the time to make sure he went to a good home.

Mary Our Siamese cat was called Siam, Sam for short because its just too hard to distinguise between the subtleties of Siam and Sam when you are yelling it out your back door....lol  Kinda sound like a southerner. I believe Sam was a Seal point. He was a beauty. They are great cats. Very Regal and they know it!

Ginger Mary is not the author of this post, I am the one with the dog Rudy. But thanks for the invite, I will check it out over at It's Raining Dogs.

Lol, this is so funny! I have a Persian I call chooch too. Her real name is layla but that has evolved to hoochka, booper, boopie, the brown cat, choocher, choochie, and choochka! She is also an aging cat and has recently lost her hearing :( now she can't hear me call her all kinds of strange names!
