Each year on Memorial day a local radio show host , and a friend of mind reads on the air this unbelievably heartfelt letter letter from Father Dennis Edward O'Brien USMC. And every time I hear him read this letter.......I get teary eyed. Our veterans and active military are the reason we are able to live our lives in such a great country and with such awesome opportunity. Please take one minute to read this letter. I hope you will pass it on to others. And please say thanks to a Vet when you see one this week!

Memorial day is a day to honor those vets that are no longer with us . Please honor their memory.

Great description there Trey of the unsung heroes. We know so very little of where the vets are today and what they are doing but they did serve us "back then" and we need to tip our cap to them. Those that gave their all as honored on Memorial Day deserve our utmost appreciation.

Howdy there Trey

I know Father O'Brien USMC. letter very will. It sure does make ya teary eyed. I sure have never understood why so many folks, don't remember those that gave their blood and life. So they could enjoy Freedom! But it seem's that a lot of folks just want to put down and turn their backs to Vets. Then ya have does, that think of Special Forces Vets, as being just craz killers.
