Bloggers Are The Master Storytellers

Childrens BookI got to thinking in reading all these blog posts the other day that

Bloggers Are The Master Storytellers.

Not only do they write from all these various angles but here in the 21st century they combine the writing with the SPEED of the Internet to zap that information right into your hands to be shared and provide the author with near instantaneous feedback on what was written.

The feedback may be of the form of congratulations, a smile, agreement, a disagreement and contrary opinion, or just a good feeling shared between writer and reader. Ideally a little of the writer's world provides some insight to the reader or a reader comment provides excellent feedback or sparks more discussion.

Many observe with those that write a lot of blogs they are amazed with the ability to do that but they might be even more surprised that the writers READ a lot of the blogs across the blogoshphere as well.

It astounds me what I have read about. Check this little list out: Babies being born, deaths of family members and pets, descriptions of a new listing, how a new software tool works, a joke or funny observation, a frustration rant or complaint, how someone made it through a hurricane or a fire, the details of finding their sweetheart online and marrying them, celebrations of weddings and birthdays, new restaurants and shopping centers opening, reviews of TV shows and the newest movies, the joy of a son or daughter in the military returning home, the wide array of porta pottys in a city, a funny or interesting photo or video or even poetry, tips on staging lending/borrowing short sales inspection title insurance and Feng Shui.

It seems the list is endless. I had one comment that this was all so trivial to a new blog reader, but they failed to see the openness with it all of sharing. You can pick and choose what you zero in on. Just like a library has gardening books and books on European history. There are TV programs like American Idol, CSI, or all the talking heads. A potpourri for everyone on anything.

So enjoy all the MASTER STORYTELLERS you will find here, no matter what they write. It is afterall a little glimpse into their world and what is happening in their life. I, personally, am loving it. Some days it may seem like you are drinking out of a huge firehose. But it is oh so refreshing nevertheless.

Gary,

There sure is something for everyone here as far as topics go. And that's where the strength of AR is, variety, blogs for all sorts of tastes.

Gary, What you have stated is really more of a goal for me. I just wish I could post like I talk (tell a story).

Most of my posts are like lesson plans instead of conversations.

Gary - You are right on the money here.  I think it takes a unique talent to be a successful blogger - I like the notion of being a storyteller.  :)

If a picture paints a thousand words, then I hope my blog words can also paint a thousand pictures . . . that I can inspire others the way that some have inspired me with their words. Kudos to all the bloggers out there. And in response to Corie, sometimes I need a good lesson plan certainly I don't know everything!

Gary, first let me get this out of the way. OHOHOH... feels like drinking out of a firehouse, ok, that is a great visual!

In the short time I have been here I have learned so much. The list is endless actually. Short sale advice, great marketing ideas, SEO techniques, blogging techniques, photography tips, I have met some wonderful people who I count as my friends now, been on a trip to Paris via AR, learned about Monticello, the Natural Bridge, seen flowers enough to satisfy my love of flowers, seen some awesome photos of the most amazing things, I even saw a life sized chia person the other day! We all celebrated the birth of the latest Neal family member together, heck, we were in the delivery room with them, I have grieved with some at their losses, celebrated victories, all from the comfort of my own home. The list goes on and on.

To sum it all up... WHO IS BETTER THAN US WHO ARE HERE ON AR? Noone, that's who!

OK, time to stuff the fire hose back in my mouth.

This would make an awesome post... oh wait, it already is!

Hi Gary....it's all true, every word you wrote here.  That firehose goes hand in hand in the inevitability of spending too much time online.  It's so easy to have an online life, and neglect our real lives...LOL  That balance word keeps cropping up.  Hey, first time on today...WooHoo ;-)

Gary - While I was driving along the Northern California Coast over the last few days, I had another thought about blogging - especially here on ActiveRain.  It is that our posts are archived, so if we kick the bucket before we wake, our families can read what we've been up to the last number of months or years:-)

Hi Gary, so true about reading many blogs, I am always amazed at the variety and different topics to be found everyday - there is no better library.   If there were more hours in the days to read, I can  imagine it would be like drinking out of a fire-hose! Great analogy!  I sure do appreciate all of the stories you share with us. Thanks, Gary!
