I was reading the story on Terrell Owens today and had a thought. Are people with money happier than people that don't have money? The article started:
DALLAS (Sept. 27) - Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens flashed a thumbs-up as he left a hospital Wednesday, hours after the release of a police report saying he tried to kill himself by overdosing on pain medication.
Here is a guy with a 25 million dollar three year deal showing us that money is not everything. I thought about this for a while and said I would rather be unhappy with money in my pocket, than unhappy with no money in my pocket. Football is a tough sport like Real Estate, but I haven't heard of too many agents trying to commit suicide. I was wondering how everyone else felt about this news. Hearing about a guy with so much potential, ability and dedication to the game that something like this could happen you wonder what is going on in this guy's life. It reminds me of the last three seasons with a guy named Ricky Williams. You work all your life to achieve a goal and this is what you do when you get there. To bad that so many young people will have to read about a player that they probably want to be like doing something like this.
