I'm here on a holiday week-end and somehow in it all, cleaning and getting ready for the week AHEAD AND I'M THINKING ABOUT EVERYTHING I DO to promote my business: I work hard in the community, I formed a face book page for family and friends and where do I get the most satisfaction and feedback?

Activerain.

There are more opportunituies here than anywhere else. Opportunities come in many packages and satisfaction as a poster and blogger.

When I visit the activerain pages and see the passion, the community, the opportunities shared, the experience and knowledge- I was wondering if others feel the same way?

I agree with you 1000%! Even if it doesn't bring you 1 single client, AR is great for learning and making connections. I've been away for a while, and I see the (not good) effect it has had on my business. That's why when my clients talk about blogging, I urge them to go with AR.

Hi Terri: you're right on with your comments, and as I needed an AR fix, I thought I would at least acknowledge your blog. Have a quiet and safe Memorial Day.

ActiveRain has much more substance for those of us that love real estate.  If you like to learn while interacting you may get bored on FB:)  On AR we all share the same interest in real estate which makes it feel more like home.  FB is a bunch of random stuff happening which to me is like the cliff notesto life while activerain is a continually updated encyclopedia of real estate.

Hi Terri, when I'm at my desk it is for work related activities, not That Activerain is work but it is self-promotion and insight that a real estate professional can't get just anywhere. So I'm with Ya!

Oh, no contest! I am socially networked everywhere but I cancelled and deleted my FB account.

Between the apps and lack of customization, FB was too icky for me . . . :)

I think facebook is ok, but I agree that the knowledge is here, you just aren't going to get that a Facebook.

Thank you for your responses. I've been on AR since they had a bout 28,000 members. I'm not as tech savvy as some, but so many opportunities and things to read and do, I agree, always something new to learn, share and help grow our passion for our communities.
