Speechless Sunday- Sunset in Alaska

By
Real Estate Agent with Raleigh Cary Realty

This photo was taken from the balcony of our stateroom on the Island Princess cruise ship May 17. As my husband and I gazed at the beauty of the landscape before us, I noticed all the balconies filled with people, just being quiet and enjoying the sunset. At the time I thought it was truly a "speechless Sunday".

Sara- I have at least 700 other pictures to share too!

Li- it was dream worthy! thanks for stopping in.

Steven and Marti- I would recommend Alaska to everyone. I was never a cold weather fan, but this trip was so absolutely amazing every day, and the weather was mild and sunny.  I'm sure you'll see more pictures that I have to post  in the next few weeks (years?)

Alaska is a raw and spectular state with a mind set that is so different from most of us in the lower 48. Thanks for the beautiful picture and the invitation to think about this beautiful planet and how lucky to be a part of it. Exploration keeps us alive.

Lou- it was the best trip of my life- so far! thanks for stopping in.

Cheryl- I would definitely recommend this cruise. Look for great bargain prices, they're out there and make it more affordable thank it's ever been.

Gene- Thanks! however, North Carolina in January is a whole lot warmer than Alaska!

Mary D.- You'd love Alaska, the people are much like the people we met in Colorado.  I'll be posting many more pictures! (how many years of Wordless Wednesday shots will take about 500 pix?)  Thanks for stopping in!.

Mary Y-  If I told you every day was more spectacular and exciting than the day before, you wouldn't be able to get anything done just dreaming about it. Our trip was the first cruise of the season and the snow had just barely melted. We've heard that in mid summer the flowers and foliage is even more beautiful, so I imagine you'll have a wonderful time too.

Judy- You're so right! I was just amazed that everyone was quiet!

Soapy-  I'll explore the rest of the world with you for the rest of our lives.

Carole- Everything about this picture is good feng shui, don't you think? I may enlarge it and hang it in my hallway.

Beautiful!  I always wanted to visit Alaska.  When my girls get old enough i woudl love to take them through Denali national park.  I can't wait to hear all about it when we meet up again.

Mary- No, I just changed the picture yesterday when I looked through all my Alaska pix. My husband took this one of me in Glacier Bay (hence the snowy mountains behind me!) You can tell I'm not in North Carolina!

Nevin-  Visiting Alaska is defintely worth it, but mostly for older kids. Denali Park was fascinating. Saw Moose (next to the bus!) Caribou, Dall Sheep, Grizzly bears, etc.

Craig- I'll be boring you with pictures and stories for the next 100 years!

Linda- It was a great cruise- I highly recommend it. Thanks for commenting.
