When it comes to Income, we all want more...
I think it is safe to say that we all have plans that include more Travel, Adventure, and material things. Like many, it appears that we are never truly satisfied.
We often get stuck in a rut that tends to steer us in a direction of More, More, More. Sometimes the little things will make all the difference in the world. Have you ever stopped to think about what important to you? Have you ever spent an entire weekend planning on what you want out of life? A typical weekend is only 2 days, So have you done it?
Many of us fly by the seat of our pants, Day in and day out. Stop and think, what is it you want, then make a plan on how to get it.
When it comes to providing Service, our Real Estate Services is whats valuable to other people. If we were to increase the amount of service we can provide, our income should also increase. So the question becomes, how can I provide more service to my clients, or service to More clients. Clients can come in many forms and from many different areas in ones life. Do not overlook the obvious. Many people need our services, but if your vision (or life) is narrow, you may miss some opportunities.
Because our time is limited. It becomes increasingly important to make the most out of every minute. I wanted to share a few simple ideas to increase your amount of service you can provide without using more time.
1) Ask: When you are working with a client, ask them if they know of anyone that may benefit from your services. Not just once, but serveral times during your relationship. They maybe a little hesitant at first to share the names of their friends and family, but if you have done an excellent job, ask them for a referral, more often than not, they have several names... Best of all It's easy, and free!
2) Exceed Excpectations: In any transaction, we excpect a certain level of communication, knowledge and skill from both sides. If these expectations are met, we often say the transaction was "Okay". But stop for a moment and ask yourself what it would take for someone to say "Excellent" or "Awesome"! By answering this question, you have just created a new 'Standard' in which to operate. Use this new STANDARD so that all your Clients can use the Best words to describe you and your services. Again, a little effort can go a long, long ways.
3) Branch out and Network: If all you do is work... Stop! Go to your son's ball game and talk to other parents. Go to your daughters music concert and Open up. Make it a point to sit beside someone new and introduce yourself. Stay after and mingle with others... All to often we are so focused on personal and family schedules that we forget some of the best opportunities are litterally sittting next to you. Simply share what you do, and ask them what they do.
By increasing your amount of service you provide, you can also increase your income. Many times this can be achieved with a simple shift in our behavior and attitudes. By reaching out a few times a month, can drastically increase your Sphere of Influence. Relax and take a moment to look around. You will never know how many opportunities are nearby if your don't look for them.
