We all have parents or know someone over age 55. Did you know that there is a Realtor out there specifically for them? Did you know that there is a wholenetwork of senior movers, packers, estate lawyers, estate planners, CPA's and more.
For over 10 years a majority of my business has been dealing with the real estate needs of seniors. Various generations communicate differently and have different expectations. It is really important to identify the communication styles not offend these wonderful seniors.
Vendors for this nitche of business can be quite interesting. For example, I have specialists that view the seniors current home and then view where they are moving to help them decide what they can take with them and how they will arrange or stage their new living quarters; whether it be a smaller home, condo or retirement community. The list of specialty vendors goes on and on.
This is an exciting and fascinating field with many opportunities from all aspects of their real estate needs. However, it is not a field for everyone. One must have patience and passion for the senior community and baby boomers who are becoming seniors daily.
