It has always been a family tradition to prepare a special meal when comany is coming to dinner. So I have been busy gathering the ingredients for tonight's visit my husband's sister & her husband. Since my sister-in-law is a great cook, the challenge is there for me to 'rise to the occasion' and not disappoint who? Myself, of course, as I know everyone arrives from their 200 mile trip hungry and eager to share family hugs and stories. Also, I know the guys would eat most anything in front of them. So why do I fret over my menu and preparation? Guess, it is just normal.
Tonight's menu
- Watermelon Salad with Feta Salad & Hint of Mint
- Agurkesalat Cucumbers (Danish & Norwegian recipe)
- Pork Tenderloin Medallions with Hawaiian Sweet & Sour Sauce
- Macaroni Salad
- Dessert: Grapefruit Pie
I went grocery shopping yesterday, but got home without the marshmellows for the Grapefruit Pie so I am off to the store. I will write a post for each recipe as time permits.
