My broker keeps telling me to BLOG to get business but times have been so tuff and I don't want to start out with BITC....ing so I just decided to just jump into the pot and BLOG! I love the internet and think it is great and I'm willing to do what it takes to get business. Soooo here is my first blog that doen't mean much except it's getting me started. If there are any other realtors out there that had a hard time with getting in the blogging mode - do tell!! Oh and is there a site for new bloggers? LOL
Robbi, Welcome to AR and feel free to blog to your hearts content in this newbie group, or in the practice here group, which I see you have already joined.
To answer your question, try going through peoples blog posts. You will find that 90% of everyone here has never blogged before. You will also find that some of those people have become exceptional bloggers. Active Rain is a great place to learn all about blogging and all about Real Estate, plus make friends.
Your first blog is sort of an introduction of yourself...Good Luck
Your broker thinks you are a brat some days....but I love you anyway! Congrats on jumping back in the ActiveRain. You will find plenty of support from other people here in the Rain.
Hi Robbi,
I haven't been around Active Rain very long! I also had a tough time getting started. You are not alone! I think you are doing great. Just keep doing it!!
Thanks for the support. It definitely helps!! I am trying to come up with a blog right now so I don't slow my roll.
As for my broker calling me a brat- this brat is about to make her some money because I am now a blogger!!!!!
Hi Robbi & welcome to Active Rain. I was going to invite you to the Active Rain Newbies group, but I see you're already there and featured! I look forward to reading your blog.

Robbi,
Blogging just to have something to post without much content isn't very helpful in the long run. If you're ready, jump right in. If you're not, it'll keep. :)
Steve
Hi Robbie,
I have been blogging for 3 months now and any time I have a question that I need aswers to...I turn to AR and I get a load of Support..
Good luck to you.
Ginger
It's important to have blogging become a habit. Eventually you will blog about a topic you feel passionate about. It is then that you can start to add to the AR body of knowledge.
Hello Robbie,
I'm a newbie too! Your's was a brief and readable blog. Keep 'em coming!
I have a friend that just tuned 70 and is still active in our business
Ginger
Welcome... You'll love it here. Everyone is so helpful and encouraging. Just jump in with both feet and you'll find your voice.
I suggest blogging about interesting things that happen in your day, how to do things for your clients to help them understand the business, and about your listings. That should get you started. Welcome to AR!
Robbi - You are in the right spot... You can find your "blogging voice" here and learn from some of the best in the biz!
Hi, Robbi! I am glad to see someone else is new at this. I just joined AR today. Good luck to you!!
I think blogging is sort of like an online think pad. If you are thinking about it, write about it. But be warned.... It is more addicting than oreo cookies and a glass of milk!
I'm learning a lot on AR, but being a competetive person (as most Realtors are), I am wondering if the "point system" is equivalent to a gambling addiction! :-)
Hello Robbi. The good thing is, you made a start. Everyone has to start at some point and somewhere. I am still new at this myself. I have to admit I really enjoy it. Hang in there, it gets a lot better and easier. Good luck to you.
Robbi,
Good to see you here on AR. One way to get a nice start here is to go to the front page and click on Online Resources and voila. Welcome and blog around the clock.
Robbi
I feel the same we you do, My blogs are about nothing exciting and just talking about myself. I read other blogs and think wow I really don't know anything..lol I am glad I found your blog I know i'm not alone.
Thanks Jeff
Robbi, I keep reading "write what you know" but after reading after others I wonder what I do know :-) I keep coming back and more ideas are coming now, it helps to find people you enjoy reading. Have a GREAT day.
