Wow...

I wrote an offer to purchase today...and it was so exciting.  I had to get someone to look over the papers to make sure that I filled in all of the blanks.

I do not know what your market is doing..but we have been so terribly slow...but now, things seem to be picking up.

I hope that you are coming into your season too.

Take care my friend.

I am laughing with you here.  With actual sales activity being few and far between, I feel my 'skills' becoming a little rusty to the point of questioning myself, too.

Congrats on writing the offer and things looking up!  Hopefully it will be one of many in the near future.  Our market is really picking up.  I have a contract today on a listing that has been on the market for 1 1/2 years.  The sellers are excited in spite of the fact that they got a lower than desired offer.....they took it anyway!

I am completely buried with first time homebuyers.  I took the necessary training last summer to work with the State Bond down payment assistance programs and found several organizations working with disabled and low-income Section 8 folks and really went after it strong - teaching classes, counseling one-on-one with credit improvement stuff, spreading the word.

I've got too many files to handle, and half the LO's in my office are handing me their clients because they don't want to work on these files and don't want to be bothered getting the training to do it.

Find a need, and fill it!  Works everytime it's tried!

That's great to hear things are picking up all over the country.  Even the most experienced agents may second guess themselves sometimes.   Practice makes perfect, so I hope you write many more contracts this summer.

Hi Ginger - Congratulations on writing your offer.  That first one is always a scary thing; but it all works out.  Business was slow in my area over the first quarter but has picked up significantly since.
