Calling all Sotheby's International Realty Associates

Please join what I hope to be a great on-line networking tool/meet & greet area for all Sotheby's Associates, Brokers, Owners, Managers, Corporate, Auction House and all others associated with SIR across the world. This will give us one more outlet to get to know each other, learn from each other and send referrals within the Sotheby's family.

I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible. I hear that our event next year is going to be in Italy; does anyone have any confirmation of that?

Hi All,

Thanks for responding. I am new to AR also and what a foray into it...a full on group activation. With that said, the only way that I have found so far to join a group is to click on GROUP at the top and then enter Sotheby in to the search field. Next to the name it should say Join Group. Click on that and you are a part of the group. If someone knows of an easier way...please share.

Let's make this HUGE for SIR!!

Have all of your colleagues join and send an email to all of your SIR contacts to join as well.

Krystal: Kerry and I are new to SIR...Gibson joined the family on December 1st and it has been wonderful. Sorry we missed you in AZ.

I had a great time at the Sotheby's Conference at the Phoenician. The speakers were fantastic. There was nothing earth shattering about the break out session. All in all it was well worth the trip.

My company just joined Sotheby's International Realty and it became official today! I love Active Rain and recently recruited  agent Mike Lefebvre, who won the Active Rain video contest,  to come join our office . I am so glad to see a Sotheby's International Realty group! Erica, welcome to Sotheby's. Great to have you on board. There are tons of affiliates opening in MA lately.

Andrea, welcome to Ar. I haven't been as active as I should be, but I got overwhelmed with all of the social media and need to refocus.

I hope you both enjoy this group and if there is anything you want to get out of the group just speak up:)

As far as the fees go...I think each affiliate may have their own structure since they are independently owned. You would just want to ask your manager or broker. I will tell you that the benefits I have seen since becoming Sotheby's have been great.

Hi! I am a recent Active Rain member which I have joined in my on going effort to continue to transform myself from a post Baby Boomer into a  Z  Generationer (sp?). I was originally motivated by George Ballantyne and his blog on Sotheby's International Realty and re-energized by a recent seminar I went to through Realtor.com.

Hi, I'm Rich van Seenus and work with Sotheby's International Realty in Santa Barbara California.  Interestingly enough I'm seeing a some familiar places in the other comments and yours.  I was born in Boston and lived in Colorado for about 10 years.  Both My family and my wife's family live in Santa Barbara and we decided to returned home to Santa Barbara more then two years ago to raise our children here.  I love being associated with Sotheby's and have been enjoying Activerain for about 6 months now.  I find Activerain to be an effective tool for distributing my blogs, and networking.  I'll look forward be, getting to know the rest of you in our Sotheby's family.
