Hello I'm new to the real estate Business and very new to AR. I would like to introduce myself to you all. I'm Mike and I have a South Carolina license and I live in Surfside Beach just south of Myrtle Beach. I'm little excited right now because my first listing is being shown now as I'm writing this blog. If any of you have any advice on the business or blogging on AR. I would love to hear from you. Thank you.. I wish you all a very successful 2009!!!

Welcome to AR!  My only advice to you is to be yourself.  Write about what excites you.  Congratulations on showing your listing.

My advice would be to throw a net over that potential buyer, and don't let him get away.  Welcome to AR.

Michael - Welcome to ActiveRain. I always attend my showings to answer any questions the potential buyer may have. The buyers agent may not have a clue, and you want to get your listing sold. Good luck in your business.

Thanks Mike & Sheryl, Good advice I found out today one of the other agents in our office went to his listings showing and over heard the woman liked the window curtains and in the negotiations they threw in the curtains and got the deal. Maui -- Nice I was there in 2001 and I loved it, I know I will never be able to buy there but I sure would love to come back for a visit!!! Hopefully soon...

Michael - That's what I'm talkin' about! I always attend my showings unless I think the buyers agent can handle it on their own. This is a small island so we all know each other. It's a great way to overhear feedback for your seller and like you said, maybe help put a deal together. I'm not saying you should participate in the showing, just arrive early to turn the lights on and be available for any questions or objections that may come up.

Don't ever say you can't buy on Maui. When you are ready, we will be here to show you the way. Until then, we look forward to meeting you on your next visit.

Aloha

Mike & Sheryl, Talking about feedback if you get a minute read this http://activerain.com/blogsview/1099257/why-i-don-t-do-feed-back-stop-calling-me-for-feed-back

I can' t believe her attitude! I would love to hear what you think on this one.

Question: I don't remember where I was exactly maybe around Maalea Harbor. Anyways is there a resturant called Rusty Harpoon there? When I was there I talked to the owners and they were from my home state Wisconsin. If I get back, wait WHEN I get back to Maui that will be a place to stop for sure.

Thanks again,

Mike

Michael - I read that post you referred to and chose to keep my mouth shut. I have a bad habit of putting my size 10 in it if I'm not careful. :-)

I don't know of a Rusty Harpoon in Ma'alaea but I don't eat out much. I do know they are in Lahaina and Kapalua. One thing about restaurants on Maui, better eat there quick before they go out of business. Almost as rough as being a Realtor over here :-)
