Hello once again AR members.  What do others think of Banner Ads? Have they been helpful?  Please take a look at mine, if you have any ideas or suggestions please let me know, thanks!!!!!  Does anyone have these and have you been using them?  I would love to hear from you either of your Banners and how they have been working or what you think of mine, thanks again.

I do not think I have clicked on more than three or four banner ads in the six years that I have been using the Internet.

Just saying.

And please do not take offense, but I do think that your banner looks very home made.  :(  I would suggest using something a little more gripping and exciting to get people to click it, such as a cool headline and compelling photo...

think of the geico gecko or cavement...or some funky photograph that is unusual and eye catching.  what do you have to offer people....mortgages without hassle?  then show a picture that depicts that with a big headline.  Your info should be very small.  People aren't going to care about what you look like or what your name is right now as much as they are going to care about what you can do for them.  Did that make sense?  Geico is all about saving money, even though the gecko and cavemen have nothing to do with it.  It's just a cool thing to grab attention.

More than just great rates
The ad looks great, easy to read not too much information, clean ad, As far as paying to place them I have no idea if that works as I never done one. Maybe you can get listed on your referral partners web sites?

Andrew, did you resolve this?

If you ended up using the banner ads, how was the response?  Did you end up using the banner ad you posted on AR?

Just curious.

I have never used them.  The few places I see where I could put them and are a little pricey.  I prefer to focus on my SEO and get my website on page one.

Banners work for brand advertising today and not for driving traffic to your website.  As long as yuou realize that, you won't be disappointed in your tangible results.

Their time has past as traffic generators.

Banners are primarily for branding and not lead generation. What is your purpose for using banners? What are you seeking to accomplish?
