Its Time To Hit The Beaches

By

With warm temperatures here to stay it is the perfect time of year to get outside and enjoy Texas' serene beaches.  We are also nearing the end of crawfish season so if you have not yet enjoyed any it is time to do so.

Our area has received more than it fair share of great publicity in the past year.  Most notably was the Texas Parks & Wildlife Magazine's article on the "10 Best Beaches of Texas."  Two of the beaches featured are with in a 30 minute drive to Redfish Retreat.  The number one beach, Magnolia Beach is less than 15 minutes away from Redfish Retreat by boat or car.  Another magazine that featured an article on our area was Harold Wells': Gulf Coast Fisherman.  The article title "Untapped Lavaca Bay" by Capt. Kyle Tomek tells the story of the bays "rocky past", its "comeback" and how "few are aware of such prime fishing potential that remains untapped and abandoned."  With the great PR that this area is receiving it is quickly becoming a hot spot for weekenders from all across TX.
Finally, here is a quick update on the progress of Redfish Retreat.  The summer is the perfect time of year for us to begin landscaping our community and our entrance.  Planned in the next month is planting Bermuda grass throughout the community, the landscaping of our entrance with some beautiful palm trees and finishing the construction of our perimeter fencing.  If you happen to be in the area visiting one of the pristine beaches it would be a perfect time for a community tour.  If you do not have a beach trip planned then visit us at the Houston Summer Boat Show from June 17 to 21.
