Castle Mountain Creek Subdivision
The Castle Mountain Creek subdivision has a community water system and a road maintenance program. This is the view from two spots on the road.
By Garden Valley, Idaho standards this is one of the oldest and largest subdivisions in Garden Valley. The average parcel of real estate in Castle Mountain Creek is close to or about an acre.
Many of the properties in the Castle Mountain Creek subdivision are considered to have "Geo-thermal potential". That means that the neighboring properties have drilled wells and have found Geo-thermal water. If neighboring properties have found Geo-thermal water then there is a good chance that the surrounding properties may have Geo-thermal water underneath the surface as well. However there are times that people are in the Geo-thermal zone and the property is surrounded by hot water wells and they will spend the money to drill a well and never find hot water. Because the Castle Mountain Creek Subdivision has community water there is no reason to drill a well unless you are attempting to find Geo-thermal water.
Some of the real estate and properties are situated on creeks, this one runs year round.
The location of the Castle Mountain Creek subdivision gives its homeowners easy access to the trail system through public land. There are many groomed snowmobile trails and routes that you can get on right out the back door of the community that will take you all over Garden Valley and Boise County. The Garden Valley Snowmobile club does an excellent job of grooming and maintaining the snowmobile trails in this area.
