Alma and Vincent - I am a native to Canoga Park. Grew up on Hanna Ave, it fact I think that house is for sale again. I subscribed to your blog, I can't wait to hear more. It's like going home, and I still know a few people in the Valley. I haven't been back in years and the last time I was there I got lost because every thing had changed. They havent' moved Topanga Plaza or Zuma have they?

Hi Dena!

It's nice to hear that you enjoyed our blog.  Many things have changed in "The Valley" but it's still beautiful!  There are many horse stables being converted to single family homes, which makes us sad.  However, it's still beautiful here.  If you are ever in the area let me know and we'll give you a tour!  Topanga Plaza is still there but your won't recognize it. They have expanded it and it's almost twice the size.

When you say Zuma, are you talking about the beach?  If so, it's still there.  Anyhow, we are so happy you enjoyed our little history blog.

Cheers!

P.S. here is a photo from Chatsworth, Stoney Point Park photos for you.

Thanks so much for the picture, I do remember spending time as a kid climbing around a park like this. Is this where I think Chatsworth park is? It was between Toganga Canyon Rd - Santa Suzanna Pass and the Simi freeway (before it went threw).  And yes I was referring to Zuma beach, no doubt there are more Zuma landmarks now.
