Every once in awhile it is time to get some perspective. This photo from MSN puts things into some context.

There are bigger things for us to see, investigate and challenge. Life here on Earth is great; out there who knows! But we will go and find out. Why? We are humans and it is in our bones (oops! our DNA) to face up to challenges.

My musing for the week. Lao-tzu who lived 2,500 years ago wrote "Every human being's essential nature is perfect and faultless, but after years of immersion in the world we easily forget our roots and take on a counterfeit nature".

There is more to life.....

Sometimes we get so wraped up in what "we" have to do, we forget about other things and people. We should all take time out each day to be nice to someone, by saying hello or how are your kids doing. Put a smile on someone's face and I bet they do it to someone else.

It is most unfortunate that to travel to such distant places would require generation after generaton to survive in a tiny spaceship. I think I'll be content just to stargaze, watch Discovery Channel, and look at pictures from space telescopes (a newer, higher-powered one is being readied).
