How is it June already?

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Southern Shores

Where did May go?  Holly (my wonderful mother I work with) and I have been so busy it's bordering on craziness.  Buyers are coming out of the woodwork and contracts are coming in on several properties.  Real estate is in full bloom.

Now if we could just get these contracts to closing, life would be a beach. =)  Closings are harder than ever and we have seen some of the strangest scenarios lately.  I need to make a post just on the whacky closings/non-closings we've had lately.

The only area we have slowed down in is our listings.  We only got three new listings in May and haven't gotten any yet in June although we have turned a few listing opportunities down because of unrealistic sellers.

I'm glad I once again have time for some ActiveRain fun, but I hope that doesn't mean we are slowing down...I want to keep this momentum going strong!  Although I do miss reading my ActiveRain on a daily basis.

Hope you all are having summer weather!  It's another beautiful day in Myrtle Beach!

How's business in your neck of the woods?

Jenn --- am so glad that your business has picked up so much --- business in Charleston area has definitely picked up -- the Manning, Santee market is slipping still. Sumter market seems to be holding its own.

Thanks for the update!  We definitely have pockets of sales and areas in which nothing has sold in more than a year, but overall we are seeing more activity around here.  Our area - Horry and Georgetown Counties are so large that it's hard to keep up with the rest of the state sometimes so I appreciate the information on what is going on in other areas!
