The Health Insurance Dictatorship

By
Real Estate Agent with Real Estate

Granddaughter - Penny - 36 hours oldDuring the past few days I have made a couple of trips to Yale-New Haven Hospital due to the birth of my first Grandchild.  Whenever I stroll through a hospital I can't help but glance around as my mind ponders all the life and death decisions made on a daily basis.

It has been awhile since I posted a Tee'd Off Tuesday so this morning as I was reading the newspaper a bug crawled up my ass that got me thinking how fed up I am with the Health Insurance Dictatorship that exists in our country.

The gist of the study found that Uninsured Babies with congenital defects are more likely to received specialized care than children covered by health insurance.  No one should have to go without top medical treatment but as a responsible adult that struggles to pay well over $10,000 a year for health coverage I am disgusted with the bureaucratic bullshit that runs this country.

Of course there are no easy solutions to the snowball effect that has created so much chaos in our economy.  From what I have read about the Obama Illusion it is just one more crock of you know what to fleece taxpayers of their money.  700 billion here, 700 billion there, does anyone really care...

The healthcare system is whacked.  My husband gets on a tyrade constantly about taxpayers, working hard to support those who just receive handout after handout from the government.  I tell him to find a comedy to watch and chill out before I have to pay the hospital  to check his heart!

Oh boy I could go on forever on this subject-but it just runs my stress level into the roof.  On another note-your grandbaby is adorable!

Dan, glad you got this off your chest. It needs to be said.

We are in big trouble IF this health care plan passes with NO time for the Legislature to read it.

Tina...  Learned long ago that it makes no sense to worry about things we cannot control.  A comedy or a little light-hearted moaning and growning works.

Cindy... Don't let the pressure of stress build or you'll be explosive... release steam slowly with a smile.

Missy... That is always the political way.... They Ram-Rod it through to make themselves feel important then back-pedal once it hits the fan.

Dan - I'm totally with you on this rant!   We desperately need to make our voices heard to stop this train wreck.

Your granddaughter is absolutely beautiful!!!  Congratulations!  She's going to have you wrapped right around her fingers!

Isn't it amazing that it is required by law to have home and car insurance but not health insurance.  They will insure materialistic things all day long but not human life.  Messed up and backwards.

Dan good to see you back, and CONGRATULATIONS on your first Grandchild.

I think you and I should stand in line and get us some of that 700 billion :) :)

Dan, Penny is so beautiful!  As someone who pays about as much as you for health insurance for me and my two sons, with my husband paying his own to add up to a family paying much more, I couldn't agree more.

Dan - The only thing certain about the government getting involved in the health care system is they will mess it up and it will cost us a fortune. Maybe if we took away their benefits and they had to pay for own health insurance like so many of us do they would finally begin to understand the problem.

P.S. Penny is the most beautiful baby in the WORLD! : )

Time goes by fast Barb,  she's already 3 months old and if a person has a child right after high school and their child does the same you can be a grandparent by 36!  (Thought I'm well beyond 36)  :-)

Wow--She is beautiful! I can't wait for grandchildren...although my kids..who are 15 and 17...have informed me that it's going to be awhile. So I guess I'll just have to admire yours! Congrats!
