Anyone you know?

There are a lot of cliches that we use to describe other people, some flattering and some not so flattering.

One of the not-so-flattering cliche is "slow as a snail." There are some advantages to being slow, such as being deliberate in one's deliberations.

Some would say that perhaps the Federal bailout of the banks and AIG, the "cure" for an ailing automotive industry, and even the Federal Stimulus Bill might have needed a little more deliberation before action was taken.

Some would say that action wasn't taken fast enough.

Do you know anyone who is as slow as a snail? Is it a good slow or a bad slow?

Russel, that is a good picture of a snail! On your wall? I think you are really loving that camera! Have a wonderful hump day. :D

Good question, Russel. Spped is good in certain circumstances while some situations call for precision of thought prior to movement. Personally, I would prefer that the government create a solution that is well thought out and practical rather than throwing money at problems.

Liz Moras did an excellent post recently on Bhutan's evaluation of their countrys' Gross National Happiness. I was very impressed and intrigued with the idea of measuring GNH instead of economic indicators. Please read Liz Moras' blog post - I think you will find it enlightening.

Snails are neat looking when they have their shell......I'm used to just seeing slimey slugs.  None lately though.

Russel I have been told that going slow and taking my time makes it really really good but there are those times when for reasons beyond my control things just go to fast. Wait a minute, I think I'm talking about something totally different here!!!

Hey Russel,

I don't think there are too many things that should be done too slow. One exception is creating art and the like.

Hey, Andrea - I found the snail on my early morning walk a couple of days ago. There were many snails enjoying the wall since the condo complex was overwatering significantly. And here we are in a Level 2 drought. I took some pictures of the overwatering and sent them to the HOA and the property management company.

Hey, Heather - I actually find it more difficult to do a good post on Wordless Wednesday and Speechless Sunday than on the other days of the week. People seem to expect so much more from pictures.

Hey, Maria - I'll get over there to Liz's blog and read her post. She always has some good ones.

Hey, Ann - Slugs can be beautiful, too. You just have to learn how to appreciate them. LOL

Hey, Dan - Now, now, now. LOL

Hey, Diane - The person who does find a cure for lazy will be a trillionaire.

Hey, Tony - I can agree with that.

I've seen a ton of slugs since you posted this, all of a sudden they are everywhere on the patio.  I am trying hard to appreciate their beauty!
