What a FUN project.. It came out of the BLUE

Home Stager with On Stage home staging and redesign co. Portland, OR.

This was a project that come out of the blue.  The homeowners had viewed a property that we currently have on the market.  This was a starter home, but had not been updated for the past 12 years.  The owners had a limited budget to paint exterior/interior and carpet.  This is a before/after of the living room. Unfortunately those BEAUTIFUL FIREPLACE DOORS HAD TO STAY!  From start to finish this project took us 3 weeks and we came in under budget.

Lori and Linda:  This was SO MUCH FUN.  Everything fell into place.  This is a time when it is great to have a strong working relationship with a painter.  They came out for a bid and were ready to paint in three days.  Same with the carpet installer.  The homeowner ws totally hands off and we just updated her on where we were with everything.  We sent her the above photos late yesterday and she loved it all.  She wanted us to burn the before photos....

have a great day to you both...

Todd - WOW!!  The comment about her wanting to burn the "before" pictures cracks me up.

Congratulations.  Your post is being featured in the group Staging Before & After Pictures.

Hi Todd,  Painting the brick made such a huge difference!  I'm sure the owners were thrilled with the results and love the fact that your work was completed under budget.  Way to go!

Maureen:  I am glad you notice the shutters.  I am not the best photo taker.  What you can't see is the new proch light and address numbers.  I found these great address numbers at Home Depot that are $6 each.  They float in front of the siding, giving a little dimension.

Kim:  The owner gave a little of what she envisioned for the house and I went from there.  She wanted black, but when I picked out the body and trim colors, black was a little harsh, so I found a color that was "daark bronze".  It gave the drama of black, but worked tihe the other colors a little better.

Chrissie:  This project was one of those that went almost too smootly.  I always plan for the worst but in this case there was no "worst".

Diana:  The owner suggested that she wanted the outside brick painted and so I made the decision to paint the fireplace brick as well.  It definately pulled the house out of the 70's.  The overall color scheme was the basic "beige" in and out.  Under budget is unheard of for me.  I have found a great carpet installer and painter here in town.  When you develope a working relationship, and you treat them well, they can pull some magic for you.  In this case, a fast paint and carpet job...
