I want my House to have a dot com? Does this really help sell the house?

Real Estate Agent with Home Foundations LLC

It seems like these days that every house for sale has a dot com address on the real estate sign. My question is does this help sell the house or does it just make the seller feel better? I recently sent out some flyers with some special offers and I included this option. I don't know if I will get a response  but I wanted to offer a dot com to help attract more sellers. I don't feel this will sell the house but it might "WOW" the seller. What do you guys think? Any thoughts are good thought to me.

Thanks in advance for your time,

Ray, I'm going to follow this to see what kind of response you get. I've considered this myself.

I'll be watching too.  But as of now, my company uses 11 different websites, and then I use others myself to advertise the listings.  That seems to make people happy.

I use them. They are just one piece of a marketing campaign designed to keep up with the times. And yes, they do work.

Ray- try making up a business card for the sellers in addition to doing the .com.  They can hand the cards out to their friends and aquaintances, and maximize the .com site, in addition to increasing interest in the property.  A photo of the house, the web address, and your contact numbers.

No it really doesn't actually help you sell the home, but it does help you attract sellers. Sellers love it and when the home sells you can set up the address with a virtual tour for the buyer and they send it to all their friends with your advertising.
