Kitchen Pizazz!

Life is good when sellers are motivated to sell.

and they follow  staging recommendations.  Well, my sellers did it.  They painted the backsplash and walls around the counters and appliances back to a neutral color.  The backsplash was previously  purple.   They also removed  an old chain link style kennel from the back yard.  It just gets better and better.  They painted the patio posts.   Now it is on painting some patio door trim!

Here are the kitchen photos before and after  Note the dark colored backsplash.before#1     and now Today!  FRom purple backsplash to neutral tan

Beverly:  What an amazing difference.  The kitchen looks entirely different.  And... I like the way the plate, plant and candle accent the corner cabinet above, and the lazy susan cabinet below.  Good for you !  Thanks for sharing...

It's definitely brighter afterwards.  The white curtains help too.

It is always encouraging when your sellers follow the directions that point to sold.

Karen,  Yes, it is amazing what a small change can do.  Staging is not decorating.  Staging is all about the space.!

Richard, Yes, white curtains brighten and they are neutral.

Harry,  Yes, kitchens are a place to always pay close attention and make improvements if at all possible.

Konnie, sad but true, part of it is that sellers are used to their rooms and and just don't see it the same as a buyer will.

Mary,  Yes, I have awesome sellers!

Very nice transformation.  Just hope now they will continue to keep the dishes out of the sink.

Beverly,  What a difference a stager makes! Sometimes sellers have a hard time looking beyond their own way of decorating.  Great job!

Beverly,

Clean counters, clean sink, lighter backsplash and lighter curtains all make a beautiful statement.  A great improvement!!!

Richard, dishes in the sink just seem to come from out of nowhere.  When you live in a house, it is always a challenge to maintain.

Patty and Linda, Thanks ladies, fellow ASP'S!   It means a lot to me that you see the difference and the imrovement.

Beverly,

Do you think you could convince them to add pulls to the cabinetry? That's a pretty inexpensive improvement that can help modernize the space.

Kate, Yes, that's a great idea, why didn't I think of that?  I was just at my daughter's apt, admiring the contemporary nickel pulls on her kitchen cabinets and how they add instant contemporary.  Thanks for the idea!

Cathy, thanks for your compliment. I was so happy the sellers painted  the backsplash neutral.  It was a great step forward on the sellers part.  Paint truly is the simplest and the least expensive change and no where more important than in a a kitchen or bath imo.
