San Diego this November

I must admit, this is my first post for the REALTORS® Conference & Expo Activerain blog.

I've been in my new position at NAR for about 7 months now. I joined Conventions a week before our departure for the 2008 Annual Conference in Orlando.

What a great experience that was. The members were very excited to attend their annual meeting - nothing but smiles, good nature, and excitement filled the air. My duties at annual are to manage the Program Pick-up area in Registration. Seeing members run up to the counter, introducing themselves, initiating brief, cordial conversations, and then watching them anxiously racing to their pre-planned daily activities put a few things in perspective for me. it was great to see that positive energy - even more so, it was great to feed off that positive energy.  Now I know why real estate professionals come back year after year.

I was familiar with Orlando area - I had gone to school outside of Tampa and have been vacationing down central Florida for the past 7 years. Beautiful weather, great restaurants, beaches, premier entertainment for both adults and children, and opportunities for fun-filled family activities. You name it, Orlando has it.

San Diego is a brand new place for me. I have never been and am extremely excited to get out there. So far, I have not heard a negative thing said about that city. Perfection is how most describe it. If our members' energy was a 10 out of 10 in Orlando, I can't help but assume San Diego will put the positive vibe off the charts - and I can't wait to get stuck in the massive orb of excitement circling San Diego from November 13-16.
