What is happening on AR?

Larry:  Sounds like you are a glass-half-empty kinda guy.  You should be glad that with emails like this, you can now cancel your membership in the Great Expectations dating service, and also the one on Match.com.  LOL.

Honestly, I wonder what kind of scam this really is ?  Some kind of slasher, perhaps.  I dunno... but if this woman is being honest... it makes me sad.  Thanks for sharing.

By the way... my advice... do not respond... LOL.

Funny thing, I received something very similar in my junk email account this morning.  It said something to the effect of "I found your profile on Active Rain".  It "weirded" me out.

This same message was on another post yesterday. I guess even the sanctuary of AR is not safe from the wackos!!

Larry, I guess she figured out that you aren't interested. : )  I received the very same message. They've messaged a number of AR members.

If the serious leads were as plentiful as the offers for love (matters allot)!

Larry, I wonder how many other members got his love interest email...???  These types of scams never cease to amaze me!!

How funny. And yet annoying that we have to filter everything. Larry, I doubt she cared if you were married. She was just looking for your credit card number.

Larry--I got a similar email through AR today...Trashed the spammer.

I think we all got one like that, Larry.  It was rather interesting.

Larry, Now we feel left out ! the only kind that we get are sad pleas to help the relative of, business partner with, or "..I looking at you listing on Craig's list...please to answer me soon" with some astronomical amount of money being offered. Only one such from the Rain---SO those of you who have been contacted via the Rain are much more popular than we. BUMMER

I get these emails every couple of weeks.  Kinda funny and yes spammers are everywhere.  I am fond of my delete button.
