Ok, so maybe the graphic is a little corney, but still.
Here is my predicament. Ever since we started advertising heavily with Google Adwords, and paying for those little bitty text ads, we have been getting more and more phone calls from companies who want to manage our Pay Per Click Google accounts.
Has anyone else had this experience?
I know Myrtle Beach is a fairly competitive market when it comes to Ad Words and the vacation rental industry. Large companies pay top dollar for their placement. And why wouldn't they. It works! But does that automatically mean that some company out there should call us (probably one a week for months now) offering their "Platinum package" or "flat rate guaranteed first page service"?
Maybe this is more of a rant than anything, and of course, it shouldn't sway your decision on whether or not to advertise. Maybe the vacation rental and real estate industry in Myrtle Beach is a bit more cut-throat than it should be in the world of advertising? But maybe they go after EVERYBODY who spends 10 cents on Google.
Oh and by the way, here is a shamless plug for our new Myrtle Beach vacation rentals blog. Sorry, had to do it.
