Be Passionate...others will feed off of it.

This week I have been thinking a lot about passion. For some of us passion is pouring out of our veins and for others of us, passion isn't even an ingredient in our body. I want to encourage you to be passionate about what you're doing. To help us, I found 5 great quotes on passion and I want to go through them.

Passion

"They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel."

Have you ever had a conversation with someone where you walked away thinking, "My goodness that person loves what they do." When you walk away, don't you usually feel inspired? I do! I'm thinking I want some of that energy; I want some of that passion.

"Nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion."

I've never met a really, really successful real estate agent who wasn't passionate about what they were doing. Have you? I can assure you, when you walk around the office, the community, etc. the most passionate people you encounter are the most successful ones.

"Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music."

That is really true. Many people have no idea what kind of buys are out there right now, they don't hear the music. Some of us are not hearing the music ourselves right now. But once again, I can assure you that those who perceiver through this (even though some of your friends, family think you are insane - maybe even you think you are insane) are going to be having the last laugh.

"When work, commitment, and pleasure all become one and you reach that deep well where passion lives, nothing is impossible."

Your commitment to work, the pleasure you gain all helps create your passion. I know some of you need a break; you need one thing to go your way. Don't give up, you'll get it.

"Our passions are the winds that propel our vessel. Our reason is the pilot that steers her. Without winds the vessel would not move and without a pilot she would be lost."

Some of us are lost; some of us are sitting around waiting for the phone to ring. Don't forget, you are the pilot; you are driving your own bus.

So, again, I want to encourage you to believe in yourself. The conversations we have in our own minds is what drives us or stumps us. If you are having a negative loop go round and round in your mind right now, call me. Lets talk about it. Go down to the mission, feed the homeless, volunteer at your church, help out a friend in need. I think the fastest way to get where you need to be is to help others, you will feel wonderful when you are done.

Hi Ben what a great Post.  that is the scariest thing for me I hope I never lose my passion for real estate because when you do

then it's gone, it's time to hang it up.    Without passion for this business how could you possibly first be successful at it and second why would you put up with all the obstacles we encounter.  I am a firm believer you need to follow your passions to achieve not only success but happiness, achievement and satisfaction in what you are doing.  life is too short...Live in the moment and with passion.I am printing this out and posting it at the office GREAT BLOG
