Yesterday I read an ActiveRain blog titled A Little Ancedote About Strangulation and Baseball. The blog was very touching having been written by a husband whose wife has terminal breast cancer. He spoke of the negativitiy of people and their very hurtful comments when his wife lost her hair due to the chemo treatments. But most of all it was his relaying an experience at a baseball game they attended and her hair was beginning to grow back. The nasty comments finally got to him and he snapped. I couldn't blame him this was someone he loved and wanted to shelter. It is sometimes hard to turn that other cheek when a person has nothing pleasant and only hurtful things to say. It always amazes me how many cruel and negative people there are out there. Whether it be in a store, while driving around or in their blogs - they spew negativity and hatred. I guess I will attribute it to poor upbringing - I suppose their mothers never taught them the simple saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything".
Victoria, that is an unthinkable scenario. We need to get our brain in gear before our mouth. How are things in Santa Fe real estate wise?
It is unbelievable how many people are rude-I agree with you a lot of the times it goes back to the way they were raised.
Sandra,
The Santa Fe market is holding pretty steady. We did not see the reduction in list price and appraisial like so many other areas. The sales are a bit slower and days on the market is a bit longer.
How about your area?
who said: "you cant fix stupid"??
I did not read that blog, now I am currious about the scenario.... What the heck would cause some one to say nasty things to a person they dont even know? Must be hanging around in shallow gene pools.
Victoria, There is no excuse for rudeness. Some people don't realize how hurtful this can be.
Victoria, some folks should hope to God that Karma does not "come around!"
Like the chinese folks would say, "when you speak, pass your big brain" (sounds better in chinese). Basically, think before you speak.
Agreed, there are a lot of bitter and mean people out there, which it is VERY unfortunate and sad.
AMEN! I was telling someone today that I would rather overlook someone than dwell on their negativity.
Gary
You know the old saying "You reap what you sow". I think if we surround ourselves with negative people we will be negative. Better to laugh is my thought.
My best,
I wish you'd linked that post! My heart goes out to him too! People say the first thing that comes to mind.......and some could stand to exercise some restraint - thats for sure!
