It's unofficially official.............."FRED'S IN!"

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Shoreline New Hampshire & Maine

" In an interview with USA TODAY, however, the former Tennessee senator not only makes it clear that he plans to run, he describes how he aims to do it. He's planning a campaign that will use blogs, video posts and other Internet innovations to reach voters repelled by politics-as-usual in both parties."

fred thompson

"A second national poll shows former Sen. Fred Thompson in third place among Republican voters in the race for the GOP presidential nomination. The poll of 590 likely GOP primary voters was conducted by Rasmussen March 26-29 and has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.

Among voters who identify themselves as very conservative, Thompson with 19 percent ranks a close second to Giuliani at 20 percent"

I know that in Tennessee the buzz for Thompson is building daily; I'm expecting to see some "Fred for President" signs & bumper stickers any day now.

But what will be one of the more interesting parts of his campaign is his plans to use the Internet as a medium to reach voters that would cost tens of millions to reach with conventional media.

Combine the high tech approach with the Senator's "down home, folksy" manner and his forceful, no nonsense ways of talking and we coule have a winner.

Hey Jim,

I guess you have to be a "movie" star before you can become a politician!

Great!  Another right-winger that is going to pander to the one-issue voters:  The Christian Right.  Fred likes the idea of killing adults, but won't kill fetuses.  I wonder what bible these "Christians" are reading from?  I don't think my Jesus would pull the switch on an electric chair.  Call me crazy.

The Republicans should prepare for another "thumping" in 2008.  Bush has damaged the party beyond repair.  It's like a "nucuelar" bomb went off in the Grand Old Party.

I'm wondering if he sees himself as a modern day Ronald Reagan?  Seeing that you are from Tennessee, does his running  interest you?

on  a lighter note... I thought of you as soon as I read online that Fred had quit the TV show and it  looked like he'd be announcing soon.

Elections over a year away...   gonna be fun.

Karen you have some real anger problems. Think about what you just said. It is ok to kill babies but not kill adult criminals. The bible talks about justice.

Do not question my faith because I think it is wrong to kill inocent babies. I think Fred is going to be a great President along with his VP Mit Romney.

You liberals are the god less ones. No prayer in school, no ten commandments in our court rooms even when that is what our country has founded on, Kill babies, don't kill criminals, raise my taxes and take my wealth and give it to those who won't get off their lazy asses and go to work. Why don't you start off the wealth sharing and go out today, find a homeless person and give him everything you have.

Our country is going straight to hell because of the left wing liberal morons wanting to spend money on global warming and not on the defense of our country. If we fail in Iraq we will be fighting those islamic terrorist bastards here.

Eileen, I think most all the politicians in Washington and most other places are actors.............bad actors. At least Fred is a half way decent actor.

Karen, "right-winger"....left winger.....winger.....there's not a nickels worth of difference between most of them. The Bible I read seems to be pretty big on that "eye for an eye" concept. I'm personally not in favor of killing anyone unless they deserve it and unfortunately some do.

Diane I think Fred is the best shot the GOP has to win prediction: Hillary vs. Fred in 08.

Don't hold back Jeff, feel free to speak your mind. ;-). Personally I hope Fred hires someone like Jack Bauer to be in charge of anti terrorist activities and border security.

Run Fred Run!  It would be good to vote FOR someone instead of just voting against someone.  Most of the people I talk voted for the "lesser of two evils" the last couple of elections.  Now we'll have someone we can actually support.

I heard George Stephanopolus' (sp?) comments on Fred announcing he's running, and I must say his comments made a lot of sense, and it sounds like he's going to knock a few 'front-runners' for a loop with his presence now in the race.  This should be really interesting to see how things get shaken up from here out.

Hmmmm, liberal Holllywood will be even more confused than they are now-if that is even possible!
