Kevin Williamson, director of such shows as "The OC" and "Dawson's Creek", brings his latest teen angst drama "Hidden Palms" to the Desert. The show, which is set in Palm Springs, brings sex, scandal, beautiful people, and a suspicious death. One character's view of Palm Springs is that it is "full of retired grays, gays, and streets named after dead people".
The first 2 episodes were shot in Palm Springs in April 2006. The rest of the show was filmed in Arizona. But the buzz has been building for the last year. Will it make it on the air or not? The show did not even have a title when the show was filmed. But now the world gets to experience Kevin Williamson's version of Palm Springs.
What this show will do for Palm Springs is endless. First and foremost, it will put Palm Springs back on the map as the destination resort for Southern California. Palm Springs has so much to offer: Mid-Century architecture, plenty of outdoor activiities, world-class golfing, and it's small town atmosphere.
Hidden Palms will do for Palm Springs what The OC did for Orange County. It will show that Palm Springs is a cool, hip place to live and will be this summer's "guilty pleasure" on TV.
Make it a great day,
