Gaining New Realtors

Mortgage and Lending with Southwest Funding

Each time that you begin a new client relationship be sure and ask about their Realtor. Contact their Realtor and introduce yourself to their team. Consider also asking about the seller's agent and contact them as well. Delivering updates through out the process will gain you the credibility and trust needed to secure future referrals. Focus on creating a raving-fan of the Realtor as well as your client. "Thank You" cards and follow-up emails to Realtors will gain you future referrals.

With all of the market changes, it is challenging for loan officers to keep updated as programs are canceled, and lenders close their doors. Imagine how many Realtors no longer have a clue as to what is happening in our industry(no offense). My STRONGEST recommendation is for you to position yourself as an informational source on available programs and gain their confidence and future business. Make sure that part of your monthly marketing plan involves marketing to new Realtors and builders, as well as your client base.

Jeff, this is a great idea.  Be a person that can give information, but build a relationship.

Awesome stuff.  I am trying to build more Realtor relationships now.
