As you probably have heard in the media, the election results in Iran's recent election were a farce! Within three hours of closing the polls they claim to have already hand counted the millions of votes and declared Ahmedinejad the winner. He is the one that wants to blow the Jews off the map! He claims the Holocost never existed! He claims there are no Homosexuals in Iran! No wonder Jay Leno used to call him "I'm a nut job" instead of Ahmedinejad.
I lived in Iran during the overthrow of the Shah and graduated from Tehran American School in 1978 and can appreciate the risks the locals are taking to speak out. The Iranian government has figured out how effective Twitter is in posting small bits of information quickly and are trying to shut down the local journalists from getting details out of the country. They are trying to track people with their settings turned to GMT +4:30 and in Iran.
Therefore, I have gone into my Twitter account and changed mine and request each of you do the same. The more smoke screens we can help put up, the more time the locals will have to keep broadcasting the truth in Iran.
I remember in 1978, I stumbled onto a bloody uprising at the Shayad Monument in Tehran. The American radio stations revealed a "body county of nine"; the Iranian station was trying to incite the riot and claimed over 1,000 people died. The BBC had no vested interest and I believed their claim of 47.
As Jay Leno would say, "Goodby I'manutjob" or as they say in Iran - Khodafez Ahmedinejad!
