Are you EVER satisfied?

Real Estate Agent with EXP Realty

Everyday I do what I love... I sell real estate.  Well, I don't actually SELL everyday but you know what I mean.   :)    I really believe that I'm doing what I was meant to do.  Yes, I've had a couple of trying days but for the most part, I can't name a complaint.  Well, that's actually not true!  My complaint is that I get tired of seeing BEAUTIFUL homes all day long.  Sounds crazy right?

Here it goes:

After my clients have found their perfect home and contracted, I routinely tell them: "Now don't go wandering around looking at more homes because you will only torture yourself.  There will always be new homes on the market.  New floorplans come out every day.  New builders pop up every day.  New features are added every day.  Promotions change everyday...  Once you find a home that meets your criteria, sit back and plan on moving into it."

This "rule" doesn't apply to Realtors huh?  I loved my home when I bought it.  Loved it!  Until... I visited a new community with MORE STUFF in it.  Features!  Upgrades!  Floorplan!  Now  at the end of the day it's time to go home to the house that I totally loved until I saw something new.   This always happens to me.  After a few days I'll fall back in love with my house again until...  I see something else.  More beautiful homes!  When does it end?  When will I just sit down and be satisfied?

Does anyone else ever experience this other than me?  If so, how do you handle your "roaming eyes?"  :)

The answer is YES.  I too get very excited when I get a new listing about the house or when I visit a new community.  My eyes roam around, but I don't like packing and unpacking much.  So if I do decide to move one day, it'll be because I found something exceptional!  Otherwise I'll just admire and dream. . .

I have a list of my personal wants and needs -- and then when I hit 90% -- that it the GOAL!  and then I just improve on my house -- and don't look back or forward -- it is what it is --

Venice _ I personally don't want more stuff, I like things simply.  I am also more interested in older homes where I can find signs of great craftsmanship which you don't see today.

I find working in my garden satisfying.
