My husband had back surgery yesterday and is recovering in the hospital. He is doing ok, the pain is really really bad. Worse than he thought. He had two "fusions" and spacers put in. They used three screws and pain meds are not working. He has been up all night and since I stayed here with him, so have I. I am really tired, but unable to sleep.
We are hoping that it gets better, his pain on a scale from 1-10 (10 being the worse) is usually an 8-9.... They have him on several pain meds and he is waiting for them to kick in.
If someone out there knows what he is going through and has "Words of Encouragement" please sent them our way. We would love to hear them.
