Gerry  - I hope he did not have any cat nip in there with him or he might not get out alive... lol

At least he had socks on..... :-)

Melissa,

That is one big cat and there were 3 of them at the Center.  They are Lewis, Clark and Helen.

Debi,

I am not pulling a leg on you.  :)   Luckily, this person happens to be the caretaker and he was there since the mountain lions were young and help raised them at the Center.  I don't think any one else would be able to get that close to them without losing their leg and/or getting seriously injured.   I think he is the same person that got bitten by the bear in the following post: Furry Friday - Be Careful, BlueBEARy Can Bite  .   This is a job that requires lots of courage.

Robert,

No cat nip.  Just cat nap.   Soon after he got out of the area alive, Lewis and Clark (the two mountain lions living in the same fenced area) layed down in the shade and went to sleep.

Gerry,

You're to much!  I would be dead from heart failure if that cat was in the same pen with me.

Connie,

As long as you don't get into the cage with them, you do not neet to worry.  Most of the animals I have seen at the Center are pretty friendly.  Some even want to shake hands with you: Not-So-Wordless Wednesday - Let's Have a Handshake!

Wanda,

Same here!  That is the safe side and the best place to be looking from.   Nice and big kitty!

Yikes, that is one trusting caretaker.  I love to play with my cats but that looks like a big cat to be playing with.

Michael,

Thanks.  Harmless for someone, scary for most others.

Pat,

I totally understand.

Liz,

I believe you.  I had a cat before.

Marchel,

I agree thay he is too big to play with.

Myrl,

Thank you for the funny comment.  By the size of his stomach, it looked to me that they kept him well fed.   :-)
